Tutorial on how to Add a Listing

A special note to RENTALS Owners about listing:

No matter what type of property you have to rent please use the RENTAL property classification to post your listing. You can explain in your Short Description box and Title box such as "6 Bed Rental Home in Los Balcones" as your Title.

IF it is also for sale you may select Rental AND Hacienda (or Home or Apartment--whatever applies) in the property classification field. You have to click on one of the values and then scroll to the next...then hold down the CTRL key while clicking the next Property Classification name. Once you have clicked let go of the CTRL key and release the mouse key. Scroll up, not touching the lines you selected to verify that both classification names are highlighted (not white).

Then go to the bottom of the page and click UPDATE and wait for the confirmation window to return saying that your page has been updated. You should be able to go back up to the Property Classification and see that both of your names now have a green or darker highlight on them.

Now people can look for Rentals and find you. And look for a Hacienda and find you. Or any other Property Classification you used.

B&B and Vacation Rentals, just use your assigned classification!

After you Log-In as an OWNER / AGENT you will see this window next:

list by owner or fsbo for sale by owner instructions

Add Listing (we have it circled) is for what it sounds like: Posting a brand new For Sale or For Rent listing in your account.

Edit My Account lets you change your own personal profile, including password, etc.

Equally important is Edit My Listings, which will allow you to select one listing to change with deletions or additions. This is also where you will completely Delete a Listing if or when needed.

Once you click on ADD LISTING you will come to this next window where a New Listing begins, no matter whether it is a For Sale or For Rent listing.

Any fields with an asterisk * are required to fill in or the form will not submit.

This is the kind of information used in a real estate office and if you choose to allow a realtor or qualified broker to represent you or to take you as a client this is the kind of information that should already be in your For Sale record.

Only the owner or Agent can see this information when they come into their own Control Panel for their own listings.

NOTE: personal contact information stays hidden inside your listing record. It is NOT displayed on the website, as you can see by looking at any listing we have.

Furthermore, your personal email address is also hidden from public view on the website. Even when a registered Buyer or Renter sends you a Contact Response form about your listing(s) THEY can NOT see your email address. Only when you choose to respond will they have a direct email address contact from you.
